The Last 2 days, A lesson in simplicity...
I Left the house at around noon on Wednesday and decided to try the "Coit method" (You like the name Dave?) of WSR marketing. Drove over to and industrialpark about 10 minuted from my house and found a long row of businesses. Parked my car at the very end of the lot and started walking and looking until I found the first chip. Walked inside the business the vehicle was parked in front of and asked if they knew who the chipped car belonged too. I took 4 no's and then it happened. At about 1pm I did my first job. That job turned into 3 more when the nice lady I was doing the job for went and got me the keys to 2 of her co-workers cars and then magically one more set of keys showed up while I was doing them. I have 2 more jobs booked for tomorrow from this stop. I proceeded to the next set of offices and before I left there had done 3 more for a total of 7 jobs in 2 hours and 45 minutes. That's $280.00. You know making $100.00 dollars and hour is not a bad hourly wage! Today was more of the same done the exact same way in the same industrial park and I havent even gotten off the first street inside it yet. I did 5 jobs for $215 in around 4 hours. I know, only $53.00 an hour. It was terrible. I'm not sure if I can survive on such paultry wages.
If you aren't going after the chips and waiting for the phone to ring. I can't say this any other way "YOU"RE NUTS". Find the chip, walk in, ask for the business and tell the client what you can do for them. Don't balk if they don't want to go through insurance. SOme of these jobs were cash and cash is GOOD!
I called Coit on my way home tonight to thank him. I would like to thank everyone here for providing me with the information I needed in order to make one of the most difficult decissions I have ever had to make. I jumped, started a business and now I can honestly see it completely changing my life.
Sincerely, Thank You All!

I was working my fulltime job and did not plan on making money today with WSR. I was walking in McDonalds and noticed a chip on the windshield next to mine. I walked in and the guy asks if something was wrong with his car and I told him about the chip.I did a cash job for him and two employees that saw me in the parking lot. I thought I was never going to get to eat. I had two messages on my machine when I got home which turned out to be two jobs from referals from my lunch at McDonalds.

Cheap Marketing Idea
Hey Sean,
Coit is my last name. Coitster was my nickname in high school. Kinda stuck with me from then on.
Glad it is working so well for you. As you have learned, it is better to be pro-active then reactive. Sounds like Keith is also starting to rock and roll. Man walking into McDonalds and doing 3 jobs and then having 2 more books. That is just increadable.
You guys are turning into retail monsters. WTG

I know Coit is your last name...
LOL, yea, you are probably right.
Now if someone could tell my wife that I at least know something.
Just as I have her convinced that I can't operate the VCR remote for recording.
Or that I don't know how to change my neices diapers, if I can get her to believe that then I am home free. Whooo Hhhhoooo

Good job, AutoEgo. Yeah, a measly $50 an hour
You did 7 jobs for 280... Were those all $40 cash jobs? $100 an hour is awesome. If they would go for insurance, then you could have made 350-400, but cash is NICE for a lot of reasons.
I have a question for anyone who has gone "coitster" lately...
I have my cousin working with me and he is only 19 and is a quiet kid. I am curious if any younger guys have found this successful, or if yall have the look of a worn out old pro. I would like to get him doing this, but have some concerns about the reaction he would get being so young.
We will find out, but would I would like to know if any other youngsters are having success.
