Just thought that I would share ....

SportsAuthority (if you have one in your town), is either scaling down or closing down. I picked up a 10'x10' "Quick Shade" (like an EZ-UP) for $70.00!!!

While I haven't used it for any repair work yet, it has served its use during the recent rains/snow as I set it up in the back yard and now have a sheltered area to supervise my "evil dobermans from hell" whilst they tend to their business :)

What about the 10 X 12? has anyone tryed this for mobile repairs? or is it to balky for one to open and close.
Just checking, thinking of multi use when not doing my real job and using it while working at home with out the shade trees. NO trees in AZ. just shrubs!

Hello GT
I have just taken delivery of a 3 metre x 4.5 metre pop up, that can be put up in under 3 minutes by one person with no sweating involved!. I will send some pics to Jeff, so that he can put them on this post. A bit expensive though but up another level.

I have a 10 x 10 ez-up and dont use it much, if I'm going to be somewhere for a few hours or so maybe. They can be a pain to open and you have to be careful of windy days. A trick I use is tying one leg to my hitch and then getting it opened from there.

You don't use them on windy days. Unless you were plaining on going wind surfing... :)

We had a PDR in Tucson that was working one of the major car lots, they went to lunch and left their tent up.................. When they got back the tent had blown over 3 high dollor cars. When confronted about ins. the PDR said well don't YOU have ins. for this? The car lot said, that is what you should have ins. for...
From that time all Venders have to have ins. down here to work the lots...
I do think that is fair.. If you are going to do the work you need the ins. to work with you..

I loved it when all the venders were crying because they could not work that lot because they did not have ins., and I walked up and just kept working every week.. I had the ins. from the day I opened the doors....

I have seen a real nice 10 x 12 on the net that has a hitch mount, looked pretty sweet. I will look around and post a picture here, this is another one I found.

Is that an A&E awning on the van? I have been looking at on for my P.U.. I have that contractor rack on the truck and was going to put an awning on before the summer....
I wonder what the winds would do on that one.

Excellent! I gotta get one, if for no other reason than to mess with a few of the local zone enforcement officers that aren't exactly on my Christmas card list. Its Payback time. That will have their heads spinning or writing new very narrow ordinances.
