How to get RainX off the windshield?

I've been told that this is very difficult to do. Does anyone have a way to remove the stuff? It worked fine in the rain for 10 minutes, then the wipers started skipping like mad. No problems before the RainX.

Scrub it for 2 seconds with wire wool.

Cheap and easy.

Throw it away if it gets wet, it will rust in your kit and dirty the screen too.

Bon Ami ,Comet or a light buffing with a medium polishing compound.
