This is the BEST thing you can do and one great start for this new year.
You have made the right decision, good luck and have fun @ the training (after all it not only serious work, it is also a lot of fun)

A training should be mandatory in our trade, if not properly trained and certfied....no work and no payments. Very basic, very simple.
I just wish that many more fellow techs will be properly trained this year, it is the right thing for your local operation and (maybe even more important) our trade as a whole. If you enter our trade, please invest the money where it is needed MOST, not just a kit and dvd/video.
If you have started recently, without any training, you should just find the money somewhere this year and be trained @ your supplier.

The total number of trained techs should go up, too many untrained people in our trade make our trade look real silly and our future (esp. with the insurance companies) uncertain. JMHO

I'd love to go to the training, however, I'm not in Florida until 27 Jan.

In my opinion, there isn't anything you need to study for but it doesn't hurt to look over ROLAGS® (The Repair of Laminated Automotive Glass Standard).

Deltakits will provide all the information needed for ther training. If you plan to take The NGA or NWRA certification exam for the insurance companies you will need the manual. I've been asked for either certification from three major third party administrators in the past few months and a copy of my liability insurance policy. Iam not sure, but I think for both certifications you need 3-6 months experience and you must also do a hands on repair. NWRA will take Deltakits training and certification as your hands on. Korey certified mine.
