Hi,
I've been giving serious consideration to starting a mobile WSR business and would appreciate any advice I could get on the subject. For example, it seems that there are tons of companies and individuals offering this service so I'm wondering if it is even possible to make a decent living doing nothing but WSR. I know everyone has a different idea of what that means but, could you earn an annual salary of say $50k from WSR in a metropolitan area? Also, what tends to work best for attracting regular income (internet ads, car dealers, booths in mall parking lots, etc.)? I guess I'm just wondering about how many mobile repairs I can realistically expect to average in a five day work week. Thanks in advance.

Re: WSR Business
Welcome aboard! My answer to your ? Is it depends on how bad you want it.Starting out in this business can be demoralizing at times. You are going to get a lot of doors slammed in your face and you cannot take it personal.Your confidence will help you become a great salesman. You need to feel like you are the repair tech out there and I am not saying to be cocky but confident.O yea be ready to put in a lot of hours with not much pay a lot like an intern.Good luck! One more thing make sure you get some good training that will help your learning curve.Your name and repatatioun means everything.

Learn to sell yourself, which you have failed to do so far due to no intro. WSR has been great for me over the years, with time and effort there is a fantastic living for those properly trained and dedicated.
Best of luck.

Re: WSR Business
You know guys, I can't help but think this is a hoax. This post was posted on Christmas Eve and every question asked has been discussed in length several times on this forum. If someone is really interested in this business or any business, knows that you have to do your own homework on the subject by reading everything you can get your hands on. I think someone is just "stirring the pot" so to speak.
Good one JoeWSR!!!

Re: WSR Business
Hmm, not sure what Christmas Eve has to do with being sincere in my search for answers from more experienced individuals in this field. I'm a grown man interested in making a business investment, not an 8 year old waiting for Santa. In any case...
I already own a successful service business that leaves me with plenty of free time so I've been wanting to find a good second business to start. This would likely be a part time venture for me in the beginning although I would love to start something that can build into much more. I am reading that most people seem to get work from "pounding the pavement" and trying to find work on a daily basis. I'm really looking for something that will allow me to run a website, advertise locally and receive calls/emails for work. I understand that I won't make $100k a year running a business this way but as I mentioned I already have income and luckily I do run my other business like that. I'm really just not sure how many repairs I can realistically expect to do in any given five day work week without all the door-to-door salesman kind of stuff I keep hearing about. Not to mention the volume of WSR services being offered when I Google it in my area.
I'd really love to hear from some people that only do WSR in a major city and make a decent living from it. Your business may not be as passive as what I've described but I'd love to hear some ideas on how you made things pick up or what you felt was a waste of time or money. Thanks.

Re: WSR Business
Also, I have found a couple of good sources on the WSR industry but much of what I come across seems to have more of a get rich quick kind of slant. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Any websites, publications or organizations would be great appreciated. Thanks.
