I was getting my truck serviced today at one of my accounts as a person walked in and was trying to sell a W/S repair system to the service Director. I was there at the time as he was doing his sales pitch but I was not paying attention to them at the time. The sales person did not see my truck or me, and he was telling the Service Director that they can sell W/S repairs to the customers and call the insurance companies for extra money....
He would come and train them and walk them through the whole thing to get started for a sale price of $995.00, reg retail price $1295.00
The sales marketing company is "Alliant Marketing, Inc." and the web site they are using is " www dot servicedriveprofits dot com. the web sends you to "www dot theclearalternative dot com"....... looks verry low end over priced.
The dealer gave me the info that the sales rep gave him and also told him that they are pleased with who is doing their work...... The service dir. said they did not want the responsibility, also their techs make them more money turning wrenches.....
I do feel my dealers will keep me, I do not know if they are also working fleet accounts.

Re: Have you seen this Marketing?
WOW I went to the site and thats a really old style of repair system. First off its the old Novis system that I don't know of anyone using anymore. It's just a simple plastic injector that you screw down. That's it, nothing more. Yea it will fix chips if you know what you are doing but there are so many better systems on the market now days. All this guy is trying to do is sell equipment. Probably costs him next to nothing to make, a simple pressure mold for the equipment and then he marks the price way way up to a $1,000 do sell the equipment. I am sure Brent and chime in on this but that quality of equipment is suspect. However that being said if he is a really good saleman and he is able to con a few places to buy his stuff he will make some money. Says nothing about what he thinks of the industry. Not very much by my opinion. These are the guys I wish they would find another industry to get into and quiet giving mine a bad rep.

That bridge looks like an older style Delta bridge to me. Could be wrong.
And FYI, just about any tool vendor that doesn't license or franchise markets to car dealer and fleet service departments. And why wouldn't they?
