Here in the SF Bay Area Toyota is closing its Fremont plant next month. If Toyota was smart they could save a lot of "Face" by keeping it open and re-tooling it as required to make sure it is "defect" free. This would help save thousands of jobs, help stimulate Californias sick economy and keep the locals happy and secure in the near future. ;)

Toyota will lose money with all the bad publicity it is going to receive in any case! Why not at the very least keep the Fremont CA plant open as a measure of "saving face" for all the bad stuff it should be held responsible for? It makes good business sense. Toyota is the Biggest Car Company in the world. Why in the world would they need more bad press for closing the Fremont, CA plant. Don't they get it? No wonder they have had serious "quality problems" with their cars...the Mgmt. is obiously asleep at the wheel!
