Screen man Thanks 4the info that's very interesting I was really more concerned re a deductible on a windscreen replacement I didn't realize that a insured if he got a windscreen repair his insurance premium would increase ??Here in mass every body gets a free Windshield as well a free windshield in CT & FL BUT if the insured puts the claim through on line is Proggresive or Geico and they do not read the small print Proggresive a deductible of $100 to $1000 and Geico a $100 deductible for a windshield

Good morning screen man I am just wondering is there any reason why u do not repair windscreens for the insurance company's in UK ? Do. Insurance co have contract with certain Glass shops or is it an open market and can any Glass shop b on a vendor list with the insurance co? Also are. there any Networks u can join to do work ?????

The insurers have preferred suppliers, outside of these and the insured does not get paid out, or not the full price. You can join a network, nothing like over there though, one is SICP owned and controlled by Belron the other is WICS in my opinion neither is worth joining.

The insured market makes up about 1/3 of the UK market, I cannot see the point in going for the smaller share.

The reason I do not do insurance work is two fold, one I do not need two, two they do not pay enough, three they are expensive to service. See the deliberate mistake there.
