To use the Resin dropper or.......

Post by h2oman »

I used the initial directions in the beginning to add resin with the dropper. My first dropper cured and as you know by now is trashed. I went back to my old school (only other way I know) and turned the injector over and screwed all the way I turn it back 1/4 turn at a time and add around 1 drop each quarter turn (depending on the area to be filled) and then attach the injector to the bridge. Yes you do have to be quick for once the end of the injector touches the glass it will leak out resin if you are not quick at it. This has worked fine for me so far. Any thoughts?

The dropper is so easy I have also never had one set on me. Surely it must have been left out in the UV to cure, keep the tool box lid shut as much as possible was one of the things Novus taught back in class of 88.

I always used the dropper and then dropped it right away into my alcohol jar. If I needed more resin, I would use a fresh dropper.
I had a small jar with about 6 eye droppers.
Keeping the tool box lid closed certainly makes a lot of sense, if you don't want to ruin your resin and everything else that might contain resin.
Whenever I remove my injector/bridge assy from the windshield, I put it into a dark colored cloth bag, to keep the light off it until I have time to store it properly.

I'm so new that I barely know anything, but Mr. Bill's idea sounds good to me. I don't know it just resembles the same kind of principle that surgeons take (no cross contamination). Even though it might not be necessary I'm sure it couldn't hurt.
