Delta Kits questions
Good afternoon all! We are going to replace our original 1984 GlassMedic chip repair system and as I have done alot of research over the last month I realize there are alot of manufactures!! Of course everyone claims theirs is the best, quickest or most cost effective using jargon that makes no sense. We are leaning towards a Delta Kit for several reasons and I wanted to ask a few questions to reinforce our decision. Is the training DVD in depth enough to use the kit competently? As we are in Michigan and hands on training is in Oregon, hands certainly won't be an option. We understand that it will take practice and such, so just looking for a rating on the training DVD. One of our glass suppliers sells Deltakits and they have a good price on kit #EZ350D which meets our requirements well. If I order from someone other than Deltakits do I still get a warranty? Sorry for rambling on but I have repair kits on the brain.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Delta Kits questions
Welcome to the forum! We will warranty your equipment if you purchase it from one of our distributors. When you get your system fill-out the registration card and send your proof of purchase to us and you will be good to go. Also, we are having an on the road training class in Louisville, KY on 9/18 so if you needed hands-on training that could be a closer option for you.

Re: Delta Kits questions
Let me tell you why I chose Delta [from here in the UK] [Apart from the excellent training and backup from Screenman, thx Graham!]
I spent months and months looking at which kit to go with but one thing came up time and time again.
Upon reading reviews the same comments kept coming up, "our kit is as good as Delta" or " our kit is better than Delta"
This told me one thing, Delta is the benchmark, simple choice then, Delta!!
You wont regret it!!

Re: Delta Kits questions
Go with Delta. I just bought my kit in May and haven't been sorry. They are very good, honest, and straightforward people to deal with. The kit quality is excellent along with the customer support. I understand that many other suppliers have been bought out a few times. Sometimes when this happens quality or customer service slips. Delta to my knowledge has never been sold to anyone which I believe speaks for their stability. They are definitely THE industry benchmark.
About the DVD. It is high definition and covers the basics of windshield repair and Delta tools. They are not difficult or complicated to use or maintain. I have also contacted Delta for further assistance. While the DVD is a good learning tool and gets you started, nothing compares to hands on learning or training. I use my practice windshield and am enrolled in their July training class as well.
P.S. There is also a lot of help here on the forum. Lots of reading on past posts on most subjects to if you use the search function.
Best of luck in whatever direction you choose to go!

Re: Delta Kits questions
Like many on this forum, I searched for months and reviewed articles and comments on many brands. I chose delta because they were honest with me when questions were asked. I wasnt bound to a contract or long term investment. I could tailor the products to my needs. My regret was that I waited about 5 months prior to flying to Oregon from the east coast to take the training. During that time I earned enough from the HLR kit to pay for the trip and HLR & WSR kits. That was more than 3 years ago. I get the same support now that I did whenn I made my first call. I purchased my kit through a 3rd party sales person, offeringa a free sells promotional information kit. That didnt matter to DK and I got the class free. No regrets. I now add items to my inventory as I develope my skills. With a solid base to jump start your business, DK is top of the line.

Go with Liquid Resins "Resinator" set up. It is a much more versatile bridge/injector and their people and customer service are top notch!

Re: Delta Kits questions
Took long enough to arrive from my vendor but I finally got it. Seems to be well packed and very complete kit (PN#36110), gonna put it to work later on today.
Thanks everyone for your advice!

Re: Delta Kits questions
OK quick question, as I'm unpacking everything and fondling all the parts when I get to the spring punch tool there is no bit in it, just the collar. Is it located somewhere else in this toolbox?
