I get that sometimes too, Bill. Then I remind myself of the 25 years I sat behind a desk and looked forward to 5:00 PM. I sort of got that feeling today but I think it was the heat talking.

Hang in there, take a vacation. Your work will be there when you return. Everybody needs some time away!!!

See what happens when you wrap your car...can't get a day off. :) pick a 3-4 day weekend and let customers/accounts know ahead of time you need a break to chill or enjoy the family. I just took father's day weekend and when I told my customers I was not going to be available and why they said they'd wait. Also, when you're burned out, are you still doing high quality repairs or do you let quality suffer? Not taking days off could affect your biz. I think we all get burned out.

I work a full time job at night Sun - Thurs: I try to schedule my WSR & HLR for Fri & Sat> Thats not always possible. When Insurance TPA'sl and dealers call I must go . Some days I may only get 3 to 4 hours of sleep. When Iam doing my third HLR or WSR on some of those days I really get fatigued. A lot of the jobs for the TPAs are 20 -30 miles away. Add a few doctor or dental appointments and that really makes my day long. When I have a customer tell me they appreciate my quick response and profeesional service its a boost to my energy level and then I remember why I wanted to do this, other than make money. I take a down day now and then to recharge. Iam going to San Diego in a few weeks and Iam already worring about the lost business. I have a new website that s coming on line next week, that was suppose to be up more than a month ago. One day at a time has always been the solution. Have a good weekend. I am headed for an eye appointment after work, 35 miles away.

I feel your pain Bill. After almost 23 years in the Airline business I am smoked and with the merger we are going through it is at insanity levels. I feel trapped. We have built our lifestyles around our incomes so to quit now would mean some other monumental lifestyle changes would have to be made. This business has been very good to me but I have found myself looking for other outlets within the industry as being a heavily dealership based business it can be a real grind. Thank goodness this business is so flexible and allows for complete freedom if you can afford to adjust. Screenman was right when he said stop chasing the money but certainly not easy to do when it is the money that allows you to stop chasing it. A good friend said to me one time "life gets in the way of living". I did not get it at first but it is so true. I do not have your solution but I hope you find the contentment you seek.
