I can tell from here that the break is too the surface nearly all the way around on the inner circumference. Only he last few mm may be subsurface, as I said earlier reading and understanding every break is one of the secrets of successful windshield repair.
I am still amazed how few guys carry a good magnifying glass with them.

Re: Odd damage
A local full service glass shop refers these to me all the time. EASY MONEY. Hardest part are the fine hairline cracks on inner circumference. I usually have to drill tips and back fill.

Re: Odd damage
I have seen a few of these I like to seal the whole thing with resin or pit filler first then drill into a end fill as much as possible then move to the other end it takes awhile and you use alot of resin. Usually I will fill it to the max and cure under pressure when I know its full (my gear allows for pressure cure some dont)

Re: Odd damage
Try the way I described, because this way you fill from the bottom of the damage next to the PVB you flush the air out with the resin. No need to surface fill until you have finished lot quicker and neater, filling the pit before the crack/damage often allows for air blocks.

Re: Odd damage
I have two magnifying glasses built into my head, but they are beginning to not work as well as they used to.
I've done a ton of those breaks, and they normally aren't too bad to do when there is only a single crack line. When there are several "layers" of cracks, I don't like to bother with them. Once in a while, these will be a pain in the ass and won't fill without trapping air pockets and leaking a ton of resin. Those are the ones where you wish you had sealed the whole thing first. But... most of the time they fill just fine from the center out, without capping it first.
