Re: Any one Use SQUARE - Free reader credit cards
Only problem i had was the older customers all want a receipt, and they don't have email nor do they know how to text. I just went on and got me a wireless terminal, and print the receipts and give them a copy. but square is free and i pay a monthly rate so just weight the options.

Re: Any one Use SQUARE - Free reader credit cards
I am looking into Square for my credit card needs in combination with my ANDROID phone. I have found conflicting information regarding TAX, VOIDS and REFUNDS. Does Square have the ability to make those type functions from the ANDROID phone app?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I have Square on my android and love it. You can set the tax to whatever you want or nothing. You cand do a full refund (no partial) within 60 days of the transaction. I dont know about voids but once you process it you could refund, or if you havent submitted it you can clear it out even if you already swiped the card. I hope that makes sense.

I am now using Square with an android and all it does is the total amount,,,, In description: you can itemize what the service and pricing is for. You can send the customer their copy email or to the cell phone....

Thanks guys. Good to know this. I am also considering go payment from intuit as they also have pay as you go option. Both seem like cost effective choices.

Intuit called me today to get me to switch to GoPay. He told me what it did and I told him what Square did. He finally said I guess they are the same and you dont have any reason to switch lolSGT wrote:Thanks guys. Good to know this. I decided to go with intuits "Gopayment" in the end. Square and Gopayment are pretty much the same animal in the pay as you go mobile processing catagory with a few minor differences. Both phone apps do the basics but would be better if they did more from the app on the phone. Customer service I would have to give the edge to Gopayment as you can actually call and speak to a live person. This is why I decided on Gopayment since I will make a mistake or for some reason i will need to speak with someone to resolve an issue at some point. In addition, Gopayment will also integrate into Quickbooks which is a pretty nice perk if you use that accounting software.

I've been with them since they launched. Pretty good and handy. I like the ipad version more than the iphone/android phone versions. I also use Invoice 2 go on the ipad, this is one of the better invoicing apps out there.
I also have Merchant Warehouse, simply because if someone pays with a visa/mc debit card, I only pay 0.39% plus no transaction fee, all other transactions are 2.19%
If I process on Monday, I will see my money on weds, for Merchantwarehouse.
Square, if I process on monday before 4:30pm, my money is in my account the next morning.
Obviously, this is only M-F and no holidays.
I like them both, square is nicer, but merchant warehouse is cheaper, I do have to pay $7.95 a month though and have to key in all transactions. I'm setup with a system on my website that allow the customer to schedule their appointment and pay, this is through Merchant warehouse.
