Glass Claims

Post by A glass co »

Hello, I want to start up a repair auto glass service in my area and wanted to know if anyone has used glass claims.com to process claims? Do you need to have business liability insurance or can I process claims without it. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter.

Oops, looks like I scared him off, and I was on my best behavior. Tact is not my first name that is certain.

First question I get from guys thinking about our trade, how can I bill the insurers, sure it may have some importance but learn the trade first.

Graham I agree with you but I think they just get excited.I worked fleet accounts for a year before I did my first insurance job.I really think these guys starting out think this is a get rich quick scheme.I don't know about the rest of the guys here but I have busted my butt to get the business I have and still bust my butt everyday to keep what I have.

When we look at it like every repair done represents our industry, it's easy to get offended by those who just want to jump in and do four or five insurance jobs a day and don't think quality is that important. I'm not implying that the first poster was going that way, but there are a lot who do.
As repair becomes more important to the consumer, it will become more important to regulatory agencies and media. Sometimes an industry will look as bad as their worst example and it's unfair to those that put in the training and the time. But, as the popularity of repair grows, so will the scrutiny.
One of the great things about this forum is the technical help that new repairers receive here. It's in all of our best interest that every repair possible represents the industry as well as possible.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for a safe and peaceful holiday. And, a little gravel on the roads for traction and repairs after the New Year ')

Dave and Bill:

Both posts well said. We work our tails off each day to continuously grow our business. To be sure, you will only get out of this industry what you put in. If you think it will be dropped in your lap, you are wrong. You need to work hard, do quality repairs, and make a name for yourself out there.

And Screenman.....I was kidding about my post. I am well versed with Europeans. :)

Happy Holidays to all!
