Was practicing today...

Post by Auto Glass Rescue »

on a "batwing" and a crack started to run. The leg was only about a inch or so. What do you do or what is the best thing to do in this situation? Also I'm still not sure when I should end a crack or not before starting a repiar? By length, if it starts to run like i mentioned about or maybe you look at something else?

Thanks! Practicing

I really wouldn't consider 1" a crack out. You should able to flex and fill that fairly easy. If you already cured part of it and still have that 1" left, you'll have to drill then fill.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. The original crack was about an inch. Practice glass or not, I made sure the temperature was within range. When I started to fill the damage, I saw the original crack of one inch grow to about another inch or so.

Not knowing what equipment your using, I'd say you need to back off stem pressure with your injector. More descriptive step by step repairing info would probably help us help you.
