Re: Software
Are you talking about ACT, by Symantec? If so, they no longer publish ACT. I use to use it years ago. It wasn't bad. These days, I use Quickbooks Pro for all bookkeeping and customer contact management. I use the physical software version but they also have an online version that allows you to access your database and information from any computer connected to the internet. It's pretty cool.

Re: Software
That's the one! I am using ACT 2000. SO I was not aware of the non publish portion. There are a ton of programs which will do this function, if one does their research.

Thank you for the info. I tried a trial verison of the ACT 2011 by Sage and Filemaker Pro Advance 2011. I find that both of them are really complicated. Im gonna try Quickbooks Pro and see how that works out.

You are right, ACT can be complicated because it is an ACCESS based software in a ways. I certainly do not use all that it is capable of.

Re: Software
I've been using QB Pro for years. I'm currently using QB Pro 2010. Its really great for accounting and customer management. It can be customized for your business and if you keep accurate records, it will even provide balance sheets, P&L reports and Tax Prep. If you are online a lot, you can even use QB Pro online version. The benefit of using the online version is that you can access your database from anywhere so long as you have a computer and an internet connection. Also, the online version automatically backs up all of your info.
