NEWBIE TO FORUM WITH QUESTIONS..HELP
Good Morning Everyone!
I think this is a fantastic resource, one in which has already become invaluable to me, starting off with Korey from Delta Kits sending me a fantastic invoice example to portray a professional image to my upcoming new customers! Thank you for that!
I do have some experience in WSR, stemming back around 20 years ago, working for a Novus franchisee in Iowa. I loved it. Should have gotten into this back then, after him and I parted ways.
However in that role, I never handled any of the insurance billing, etc. I was given a route and went out and did repairs.
So starting up a company, I need to know the ins and outs of Insurance Billing step by step, initiating from the customer call, to all steps after.
I am hopeful you guys can help me out . The idea of using a billing service provider is somewhat scary to me, being I like to be an in control person and do all of my own follow up and such.
I know about the packets for the five companies, but I wonder if that is neccesary to perform insurance jobs.
But any help you all can give me , step by step would be greatly appreciated and after my business soars, I look forward to becoming a valuable member of this forum!
Thanks!
Jeff

Re: NEWBIE TO FORUM WITH QUESTIONS..HELP
smithy, You need to give folks time to read and think what a response will be,,,. If I can not make them jump to my whim, you being a "newbie" will not be able to do it either..... That was a sour joke.
As we and I have been saying, There is is tons of useful info that is at your disposal... Just take the time to read what is already out there. Use the "search" tool to find what your are looking for till someone can jump in and answer your questions......

The Business Development sub-forum, under Windshield Repair is the place to start. Many questions that you have and many that you don't even know to ask yet, can be found there. There is a ton of information on this forum and its right at your finger tips.

Re: NEWBIE TO FORUM WITH QUESTIONS..HELP
Jeff,
If you haven't already called our office I would invite you to do so. I think we can help ease your fears. Whether you are a Delta Kits customer or not we can tell you how we handle our billing and why we do it the way we do. Just not enough hours in the day to keep repeating myself on the forum, but always happy to take phone calls. The call is free and so is the information.
You'll likely get more responses here as well, but we are just coming into the busy season so a lot of forum members may be working long hours after a particularly long cold winter.

Re: NEWBIE TO FORUM WITH QUESTIONS..HELP
Thank you Brent!
Hopefully I did not sound to impatient there. Not my intent. I guess I am just anxious and excited to get going. So sorry to all on the forum. Can't blame a guy for enthusiasm can ya? Anyway, I may definately take you up on that offer. Because on the Quick Books area is my real confusion as to whether or not to set up in their when I do and Insurance job, whether or not to set up the customer for that repair as the Vehicle Owner, Their Insurance Company or The Network which is paying the claim? And I am sure many more to come! Sorry guys and gals, if I seem impatient!

We use QuickBooks so we can help you with that as well. Don't apologize for being impatient, time is money and every hour delayed is a couple more repairs you could have done.
