repairing windshields wrote:thanks Jonathan but I have already used the glass eye droppers, I like to keep the resin in my pocket because I do have multiple kits. So when I first got the dropper in the mail I set up and put in my pocket moving doing repairs and the top of tip ripped and had a slow leak and was leaking in my pocket within 45 minutes the bottle was empty. U cant cant count how many drops you are out into the tri pod because you cant see it. I mean the list goes on and on.
I always keep my resin in my tool box. That way I can't knock ot over or spill it.
I would never put it in my pocket.

My personal experience is that proper technique, quality resin and reasonable glass temperature are far more important to performing professional repairs than are expensive tools. If you lack technique, and/or use a low quality resin and/or try to work on glass that's either too cold or too hot an expensive bridge isn't going to bail you out.

In doing any job, whether it be a heart surgeon or a windshield repair tech., having the right training and technique is key. After these two items are in place, a really well designed scalpel or bridge separates you from the rest of the crowd.
