This is to those of you who have experience with developing a website for your business. I can have the site developed for free, but there are costs associated with making it active, and more costs associated with ensuring that it gets to the top of search engine lists. If you have a site, has it been successful??
I mean, it may generate alot of hits, but has or is it generating any business?

Re: Websites Generate Business?
We have been in the business full time for a number of years and I only have opinions on these matters, no facts.
First of all, a website adds to your credibility. It also adds to your ability to communicate who you are and why they should use you. Finally, it allows the customer to feel empowered in their choices of who they want to do the work. We developed our own website for minimal costs. We have our name and website placard on our fully wrapped trucks. When we answer the phone we say, "(the name of our shop).com, how can we be of service to you today?" We are listed with Lynx and Safelite as "________.com" So we do use our website as a part of our overall branding strategy. However, for long term business sustainability, you must learn how to market your business. Advertising will steal many dollars from your pocket with out much return on investment. However, marketing will add money to your pocket on a compounding basis. Hope this helps.

Re: Websites Generate Business?
Yes websites generate business but its all in the design for a free site go to webs.com then go to wefixwindshields.com then merchantcircle.com then hotfrog.com then thumbtack.com and of course Yext.com now there has been some desent about yext but i just switched over from their pay per call to a flat rate service that costs 59.99 a month so give it a shot link all these to your website give it some time and you will start to see more and more out of your site any questions or more info pm me
