Re: What are your hobbies?
The Sky SKi is actually easier than it looks, and it really is a lot of fun, even if I can't master the flips.
I mostly ride a Heritage Classic these days, but we also have two Hondas, a Kawasaki, and three Yamahas. Four are just little trail bikes but I love just about anything with a motor and two wheels. I got my first bike at age 9 and have had at least one ever since.

I like to paint pictures. Mostly landscapes and seascapes. I have an easel set up in my kitchen. I typically work from photos. I have used oil paints, but acrylics are fast drying and easier to clean up, so mostly I use acrylics.

I notice you forgot to tell them how graceful you look on the Sky Ski too Brent! :eusa_doh:Brent Deines;31598 wrote:The Sky SKi is actually easier than it looks, and it really is a lot of fun, even if I can't master the flips.
Kidding of course, I couldn't even get up on the thing. It's some sort of voodoo I'm telling you!
My hobby is my motorcycle too. Only place where my cell phone rings and I have an excuse not to answer it!

Oh yeah, Hi Brent. Hope you don't mind that I stopped back by. Ton of new faces since I was here last. Up at the top it says February 27th last log in! Did you ever think I'd go 5 months without looking at the forum!

Re: What are your hobbies?
I'm not Brent, but I can answer your question. If you have the exact address of your pic, as in http://www.photobucket.com/yourpicture.jpg you can click the button above that looks like this:rowdy13;31225 wrote:Thought I would start a thread about hobbies (other than windshield repair). I like riding motorcycles. I have a 2006 Big Dog K-9, which is a chopper. I also carve wooden eggs, yes you heard right, I carve faces out of wooden eggs. I also went through a phase of making wine. (and no, I'm not gay). I also have a metal detector, which I've only used once. Brent, in another forum I belong to, its a Big Dog owner group, we can go to Photobucket.com and download our pictures there, and then put them on the posts. Can we do that here? I would love to see pictures of everyone's hobbies. Take care everyone.

I'd love to see a pic of your Big Dog!

Re: What are your hobbies?
My experience with people posting links to photobucket has been that when you click on the link you go to the main site with a message that says page not found, which was indeed the case when I clicked on the link in Jeff's post. Sometimes the photos that do come up are things that I don't feel are appropriate, so I would prefer that you click on the "manage attachments" button under the message box when you are creating a post. From there you will see the types of files you can attach and the size limitations.
Thanks

No I didn't think you could stay off the forum for that long, but I'll bet you slept a lot better at night not stressing over it. I know I got a lot more sleep when you were doing the moderating, however I have learned to not let it get me too worked up and I share the moderating with a couple my employees when I want to take time away. Anyway, it's good to have you back and I'm glad to hear things are going well.Jeff Higgins;31631 wrote:I notice you forgot to tell them how graceful you look on the Sky Ski too Brent! :eusa_doh:

Re: What are your hobbies?
Well we ride bikes also and our current Gold Wing is getting ready to turn 100,000 miles and we will get a new one this year. We long distance tour and pull a miniature horse trailer behind her. Also avid Deer Hunter but mainly BOWHUNT only now. More exciting; All our kids are grown and have their own houses so we hang with them and the grandkids some now if not on the bike. Made 2 3600 mile trips down to Key West in the last 8 months.Oh yea-Coldest ride we had was 17 degrees last year but our WING is wired for 2 FULL SUITS of Gerbing Heated gear. Just another ride... Don't get to see many of the Harley guys out on these days....When it gets HOT we also utilize COOLING vests..Rode 3 days in Rain last year from Daylight to dark. Makes for a long day but have good wet weather gear. Slows ya down some on Interstates.....

Re: What are your hobbies?
Man I'm doing something wrong. I'm lucky to get a week off every year, and have never been on more than a 1000 mile weekend ride. I've still got kids at home and my wife does not get all that excited about long rides, so although I dream about it a lot, motorcycle riding really is not all that high on my priority list. In fact I had all but given it up until a few years ago so I could spend more time with my family. Now however, the whole family is beginning to ride, so I've got the bug again.
Although the Gold Wings are great bikes I've never had any interest in owning one. Heaters, air conditioners, stereos, and the like just don't seem like they belong on motorcycles, so I hit the slopes in the winter, play in the dirt in the spring and fall, and save the boat and the Harley for the warm weather.
That's the great thing about motorcycles, no matter what kind of riding you do there is one to fit just about everyone's lifestyle and personality.

Re: What are your hobbies?
OK so I really hate to admit it, but as I was riding home in an unexpected rain shower the other day, soaked to the bone and shaking so bad I couldn't hardly hold the clutch in at stop lights, I couldn't help but think of you in your nice warm, dry space suits. I must be getting old!GlasWeldTech;31669 wrote:Well we ride bikes also and our current Gold Wing is getting ready to turn 100,000 miles and we will get a new one this year.
