Working In The Heat

Post by GlassStarz »

Its really hot here in the Summer been at least 100 everyday for weeks up to 112 I have picked up a few tricks while working in and on the heat
The plastic is really hot especialy if its in direct sun if you wipe it with alcohol it will cool it down a bit the same as glass
Do a thourough job cleaning for the second step remember thinner evaporates quickly so keep adding enough that the surface is wet
Apply the top coat quickly squirt a good amount on the plastic and spread with the paper towel I like this way rather than putting it on the towel and spreading I get a thicker coating faster without a mess
Dont put on a second coat earlier than normal the surface may feel dry but it hasnt cured all the way in and if you need to put on a second coat willmake it messy WAIT 20 minutes or more(I rarely do a second since changing to squirting on the plastic)
Work in the shade whenever possible
