What the **** is the deal with these new side moldings!!!! Has anyone come up with a way of releasing the clips without bending the hell out of the molding?

I just got my new clip tool in from equalizer that's designed just for this application.You can find it on page 115 of this years catalog.It's part #
is FTF399 and the price is $12.95. it opens the clips up without bending the molding. Alternatively if the truck is an extended cab you can peel the molding from the roof then pull up and back on the molding to "slide" the side clips out.

works great... it's just like a standard clip removal tool except the head is tiny and bent at an angle.... it is sure as heck cheaper than replacing moldings too

once you get the clips out. you can slide the top of the moulding foward out of the retainer.you will not have to glue the top moulding back down.
