Every time I make a bullseye at the end of a crack (on my practice windshield) and then try to run the crack to the bullseye, the crack seems to run right around it and keep going! I can't figure it out, because it looks like it's lined up straight with the crack???

Sounds ike it could be one of a couple things. (1) When you drill and tap, are you drilling too deep resulting in a small bullseye? (2) You are tapping way too hard, ease up on the tap, over tapping can cause alternate stress cracks. (3) Maybe, just maybe, you are applying too much pressure on the glass when you are attempting to connect the two together. Personally, I can't remember the last time I had to apply pressure to adjoin. I drill apprx 1/8 inch in front of the cracks end, tap, and my bullseye joins automatically. Keep practicing. One other note to ponder on. You are using a practice piece of glass that is not mounted in a frame, could be it is flexing without your knowledge causing you problems. Good Luck
