Re: Car wash referals.

The focus and intent of this forum is to educate windshield repair technicians and potential technicians. It is a place where all people should feel welcome, and where they will be free from attacks.

There was some useful information in the Entrepreneurial Scam thread, such as ways to set ourselves apart from competitors who do not do quality repairs. We welcome that advice, and consider it to be extremely important, as long as we do not refer to our competitors by name. Unfortunately, for the most part the thread was an attack on a certain group of technicians, which cannot be tolerated.

We have been inundated with protests from customers who feel that they were unjustly accused. While we want to do as little editing to posts and threads as possible, we cannot allow members to post derogatory comments about other members.

We apologize to anyone who posted constructive advice that was deleted along with that thread. We hope you will continue to post and to help fellow windshield repair technicians.

Haven't been around lately. Must've got kinda hot huh. It just shows the frustration of Legitimate techs and the challenge to maintain trust with the general public. But like anything else there will always be those who take something as legitimate as windshield repair and exploit it in a non discretionary and unethical way so as to give it a bad reputation, thus challenging the pros to become more creative in marketing quality workmanship. Funny thing is there's those that, though they claim to support the windshield repair industry in an ethical way, they are not so discreet when it comes to providing the equipment to other businesses they know perfectly well are unethical in their repair practices. Ever hear the term "shooting yourself in the foot?"

Lab6881:

What I know is that there are a couple of a businesses' competitors that have alleged unethical repair practices. If people are to believe everything competitors say about them, then I think we are all in trouble.

Our responsibility is to provide the highest quality equipment on the market, and the technical support to back that equipment up.
