Some of us might celebrate other holidays this time of year. Hunukah, Kwansa (sp?) and even Festivus;)
Personally, unusual to this area, it started sleeting/snowing last Wednesday, three inches of ice are coating my property, drive and road and finally, today, the temp will start remaining above freezing so that this mess can thaw out!
Ergo, all plans for going out for my wedding anniversary (X-Mas Eve.) were nixed and the wife and I have been relegated to "feasting" on various assorted foodstuffs that have claimed our freezer as their domain (as I can't get to the market).
More fun ....
One of my (web) clients fired an employee and forgot to change/delete their email login/password. This "miffed" employee "hijacked" their domain and launched a major spam attack, resulting in my IP range becoming RBL'd. Naturally, after receiving hundreds of SPAM complaints, my NOC DC'd my boxes. So. whilst other folks had visions of SugarPlum Fairies Dancing in Their Heads, I had visions of having to write bunches of refund checks to all of my other clients!!!
Fortunately, I have been a loyal customer of my NOC for over 7 years and a mere phone call finally resolved the issue. But several hours of nausea/anticipation certainly placed me in a Bah-Humbug kinda mood!

Mine was unusually quiet and peaceful for a change. Very scary for my family!
Both my father and mother had laryngitis! Come to think of it, first time in 30 years I could actually get a full sentence in without interuption from my dad.
No lectures about religion, politics or how to run a business! Don't get me wrong, both my folks are wonderful and loving people but to be truthful I loved it!!!
