Mon son's 2008 Dodge Avenger had the back glass shattered.
There is no gromett. The glass appears to be bonded to the metal with a 1/4 inch thick rubber layer.
Should this be removed and replaced with a urethane sealant? Is there a replacement rubber piece?
Maybe this piece is used at the factory instead of urethane sealant?

Re: Back glass replacement on 2008 Dodge Avenger
To my knowledge the glass is bonded to the metal with a urethane sealant. You will want to trim that down with a sharp chisel or a long knife, do not take it completely down to the metal because urethane sticks better to urethane. You will have to obtain the proper urethane and primer to replace it.eclecticmn wrote: ↑September 6th, 2018, 6:57 pm Mon son's 2008 Dodge Avenger had the back glass shattered.
