Resin

Hi guys
Just a query regarding resins. I believe I read somewhere that to cure the resin you need UV light but also to eliminate air with the cure tab because curing is an ANAEROBIC process ( as opposed to Aerobic which is Jane Fonda dancing in her underwear!)
If so, then why do you need to block the UV when doing cracks and long legs in case the sun cures it before its filled the leg?? As the leg fills, it shouldnt cure without a tab or tape to block the air aswell.
I am talking about Magnibond and such resins, not stuff like Nano470 which doesnt need UV.
Thanks for all the advice so far, it been very useful, especially tapping bulls eyes with a drop of resin in the drill hole....it almost fills the bulls eye and eliminates the air at the pvb making for a very decent repair.
