I have a full time job and want to start a WSR business. I am debating on how to go about it. Setting up a tent and hiring someone to do the work, or going mobile and doing the repairs after work and on weekends.
Any thoughts would be helpful.

Re: Full Time job and want to start a WSR BIZ
I also work a full time job. Because of my location and the economy, I had to start my WSR business. Due to my rural location and the local market, I turned that into a WSR and replacement business. It's been a haul but it's been worth it and the information I have found here on this board has made the WSR side of my business very profitable. But my opinion is that there is no such thing as a business that runs itself. If you hire people to do the work for you, without a solid schedule, you'll find that it will not be profitable for you. You'll spend the time you thought you were saving by answering complaints generated by your employee(s). And then when you have to answer the lawsuit brought on by an employee, you'll wish you'd stuck with your day job. My suggestion, if you're interested in starting a WSR business in addition to your full-time job, would be to work 7 days a week for the next couple years to establish your business. Once you accomplish that, very prudently hire employee(s) that you feel will help you succeed.
