Start Up Business Plan

Gentlemen,

After reading several posts I feel more encouraged to get back into the WR business....

I began repairing chips in windshields in 1989...I can't tell you what brand I was using....resin or tripod...but I got pretty good and challenged myself on doing the best invisible repairs possible.

I'm on the young end of retirement age....and very bored....so I want to try the business again....here's my plan....

I will try to make a connection with some Car Wash locations, Inline Mall locations etc..etc... using a Tent with a Banner....a couple of chairs for customers to sit in, a cooler with bottled water and sodas, and provide the best work possible. I plan to be consistent in my appearence at designated locations to build the business.

Please add to my business plan and tell me what DELTA KIT do I need to purchase to get me started?

Thanks for your advice...
V Man

I started when you did-welcome back. Definately go with Delta and a 2 injector lever kit. Delta will go out of their way to get you up and running thru this site and personal phone calls.

V Man, that sounds a very good plan to me, I know of many guys that used to do very well with the same business model. As long as the insurers keep paying out it works well, personally I would go the Mall rather than a car wash, bigger numbers always think bigger numbers.

It seems to me that the guys with tent locations have the best luck with places that have a good rotation of traffic. Not just repeat traffic but varying traffic, like screenman said, the mall. It's a great business to get into and Delta Kits will help you ALL the way. If you're interested, I have a dual bridge setup for sale in the classifieds.

I completely agree it is all about numbers and making the repair as painless as possible for your client. I am too just getting back into the wsr business.
I am enjoying reading the post and good luck .....
