I had just worked a 12 hour shift and was heading home to get some sleep. I got a call to do a repair 32 miles away for an insurance company. Although I was tired, I told the dispatcher I would do it. The dispatcher stated that several shops were closed for the holiday. I encounter a road detour due to an accident. The customer gave me the wrong directions, yet I continued my adventure and arrived about an hour later. I repaired the windshield while the man's four year old grandson asked hundreds of questions. When I finished the customer asked me if I had been doing windshield repair all my life. He stated the windshield looked almost new again and he could bearly see the half inch, star, combination break. I cleaned his windshield while he insisted it wasn't necessary. He took my business card and a few WS savers. He stated he would send me some customers and was really pleased that his 2011 Nissan was fixed. The point to this. I felt really good about the fact that he thought I was a seasoned WSR tech, simply because I made it look easy and provided a professional repair and service. The money we make doing this service is often good. However, reconition for a job well done is what I strive for. A satisfied customer generates repeat business and earns you respect for your craft from that customer. You cant please everyone but when you get that pat on the back, it makes that long drive and day worth your time. Have a good weekend and a safe holiday. 3 years plus and still learning. Candyman
