Forgive my ignorance

I got a contract to do my local parish's vehicles. Sheriffs cars, public buses, etc. They don't have to pay parish taxes. I understand that I would just charge them the state tax and not parish but when I pay my sales tax at the beginning of the month is there a certain way to let them know these profits are sales tax free with parish? Is there a document I produce? I do my sales online on parish efile. I guess I can call them up, just curious if any of you have run into that. Thanks

Interesting issue. My first thought is that, if the sale is exempt from parish tax, then that income would not be included when you pay the parish tax on taxable sales.

But don't take my word... I have no idea LOL
