I ordered Coat2Protect earlier this week. Are you guys finding it necessary to sand all the way up to 3000 grit? Thank you.

Im having trouble getting a streak free finish. I've watched all the videos and am still getting some minor streaks. If anyone has any tips that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dan,
From my experience, streaks are only from lack of product.
Put your head down and watch the lens as the coat goes on - best to do it this way then try to touch up after - trust me!
Also, check your towel has a nice edge, not bent anywhere and it makes full and even contact with the lens.
Like I said, the streaks are where the product is not uniformly applied, so it has to be the amount of product or the application.
Head down, light reflecting on the lens is the ONLY way for me.
Good luck!

Make sure you are using the blue shop towel. Use very light pressure as you apply it. Sometimes I will not wear gloves so I can feel the lens under my finger tips. The gloves interfer with that. Dont go back over any missed spots unless that towel is WET, or it will drag or dry with a streak. I have a HLR & A wsr on the same vehicle to do today. Its currently 6am and 14 degrees. Its suppose to be about 50 by noon.
