cracks

Post by glassyeyed »

Lets see questions how many do I have Hmmmmmm.
Weel here's a couple 1. I did a crack on my own truck and in the beginning it looked like well excellent until I put the light on it and within seconds it appeared like it burped out all the resin practically except for spots which screwed up the whole thing "ugly" and after working on the individual spots winding up taking forever it still continued on its predestined course and I recalled this happening before which is why I dont do cracks cause I never figured out why this happens So whats up ? realizing this can be a great money maker or a killer.
2. how long does resin last ? as I found some unopened bottles.
O K one more while Im at it ' Is any "Black Light" suitable for curing purposes ?
Go ahead hammer away.

I take it you have received training, could you please confirm this as it makes answering questions easier.

Did you use curing tape on the surface of the crack, this has to be nice and wet with resin. Did you press your light onto the glass to make the suckers work? this would flex the glass and pull resin in.

Do not use any old lamp, you have said how much money there is in this trade, speculate to accumulate. Buy proper tools from proper suppliers.

As for resin life, come on that must be a joke question, if you do not know the history then do not use it.

Tent guys have a reputation for poor quality work, hopefully you will not be one of them.

Could it be the manner in which you ask your questions? I'm just sayin'....

Well I do speak and write English I was born only 10 miles from Buckingham Palace so by my theory I must speak closer to Queens English than most on here.

Can I ask without seeming impolite how do you suggest I ask the question?

I think it is a UK/USA cultural thing, being from the UK and, having met and received training and ongoing support, from screenman, i can categorically state that how some people read things isn't how he means them.

I have seen brick and mortar shops which do shoddy work too. It all boils down to proper training and support. The tent is just a shelter.
Cockneys live close to Buckingham palace too. Not exactly Queens English is it?

Course it is me old mucker. As I have shown with the previous post, the English guys would have seen it one way and those of you over the pond another.

Looking back at that post I should have said some tent guys, not just tent guys well spotted.

Still no reply from the OP on the original question.

Anyway screenman Training yes but that didnt make me a pro right off , No I rested the light on my other bridge , yes its a true ultraviolet and the resin thing may be a joke to you but it does go bad especially when its misplaced or stuffed away as banked supplies and the forgotten for who knows how long in this case over a year.
There see your wrong people do answer you. :D
