Hello everyone, I am starting HLR in San Diego, Oceanside and Carlsbad Areas. Does anyone here know what kind of Licensing or Permits I will need to do this legally? I am starting this part time as I am still in the Marine Corp and would like some extra money. That being said I still am taking this seriously and want to make a business out of it. Any input would be greatly appreciated and helpful.

Your best bet is to contact your local city/county courthouses for the real answers to your questions. Each county or city may have different requirements, so be sure to check with all them. Good luck!!

My son will be discharged from the Navy next week. He will be attending college in San Diego, starting in June. His VA benefits will not start untill then. He will be taking the personal trainer exam next week. He has one client and is working on his business plan. I may purchase him a HLR kit to help him generate some money untill he starts college. Please let the forum know what you found out reference city permits etc... . I'll be in that area in July on vacation.

My business is in Los Angeles area and based in Bellflower. The only license that is required is a local business license from the city you are based in if you are mobile only. But first you will need to regester the busisiness with the county regestrar and publish a ficticious name statement at the same time in a local paper. I do both WSR and HLR and do very well with the used car dealers. You have to give a free one away though, just to show that you know what you are doing and quality is good.
