what about the hard to reach surfaces...

Hello All,

As you regulars know, I am new to thsi business and have been practicing up on my WSR and HLR skills. I have to say that it seems fairly simple, and I have already improved my skills tremendously. My question is this...

How do you all sand those hard to reach headlight surfaces like the headlights that get really narrow and then taper to a point...I am worried that the metabo will sand through the painters tape and damage the paint if I try to use it on those areas and hand sanding will take forever and be un-uniform. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

hand sand were you can not get the orbit sander... Wet sand... It just takes a little elbow greese.

I hand sand and it works fine. Once you get the UV coating on it will look as good as the rest.

dnkies,

I totally agree with you and this is a question I always ask myself as I get prepared to Restore as set of headlights'. I have to agree I do feel that it sometimes feels as if it's un-uniformed as you described, yet I can say the un-uniform usually isn't as bad as it seems. Especially once you apply the Clear!
