I am adding poly and acrylic restoration to my services and I have already contacted RLI who I have my WSR insurance through to see if they will write this into the existing policy but I did not get a warm and fuzzy from my agent initially. I am now waiting to hear back but expect the answer to be no. I wanted to see what others are doing for insurance coverage.

Hi Brian..RLI will say no...liability ins will not cover anything anyway..I have a garage keepers policy fron Erie ins that gives me 10,000.00 coverage ...which I think would be more than enough

I kind of feel RLI will not cover this service. How much do you pay for your ten thousand dollar olicy through erie if I may ask. Also are you using that just for the HLR or is that also for the WSR?

I use it for both..I like the added protection..as for cost It is bundled with truck' and liability and garage keepers and I pay 1340.00 for the yr..oh and theft ins... was robbed once and lost 5'000.00 in equipment

I will keep that in my pocket until I hear from RLI. Seems like I may have to go that route.

UPDATE:

I heard back from my RLI underwritter. They through confirmation with an RLI policy administrator will cover this HLR service under my existing WSR policy. When I renew my policy the scope of coverage will reflect bothe WSR and HLR. At this time there is no increase in premium.

well that sure is a surprise....but then again liability ins doesn't cover anything that you would need it for

Thought I would share the official description for those of us that have RLI WSR insurance should you need to know.

"I received your fax about adding this info for the insured. I was reading the full description of windshield repair and it states:

Windshield Repair: Consists of repairing all type of damages to windshields
including cracks, rock damage, and scratches. Additional services are often
available as well: plate glass repair, headlight and tail light repair, and glass
cleaning. "
