KY jelly or even Delta kits on stuff. The nice thing about this business is no matter where you buy your consumables from it still works out at very little per repair. I would not think vaseline would do the rubber any good long term.

I use regular wal mart brand hand lotion.

It works great.I do use vaseline all the time on my bridge for repairing cracks. However, it kind of melt in the hot sun. Screenman, i wasn't aware that it may do a lot of harm on the rubber in the long run. Could you please enlighten me more on this.

Thanx.

I use cornhuskers because it's water soluble - it washes right off the glass. Also, it seems to be easy on the suction cups. It only takes a little bit - a $3 bottle probably lasts me a year.

Any petrolium product will degrade rubber/latex proucts. You can apply them together, just know they don't do well together!!!
