Where to get practice glass

Post by Anonymous »

After I cure the resin and pit pit resin I scrape the excess w/razerblade. After excess is removed the it is kinda rough around where the hole was. It almost seems as its not completly filling in. Left light on it for 5 mins. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Thanks

Pit filler

Opey,

Are you...

1. Using a new razor blade
2. Holding the blade correctly
3. Using old or incompatible resins
4. Using good batteries and bulb in the UV lamp
5. Using cure tabs when curing
6. Using pressure when appling the cure tab
7. Using sufficient resin
8. Noticing this after you polish

Just a few things to consider.

Brian,

1. Using a new razor blade - Yes
2. Holding the blade correctly - I assume so
3. Using old or incompatible resins- New resin from Delta
4. Using good batteries and bulb in the UV lamp- Yes
5. Using cure tabs when curing- Tape and tabs, same results
6. Using pressure when appling the cure tab - no, just placing on top
7. Using sufficient resin - yes 7 drops
8. Noticing this after you polish - yes

Opey,

I assume thats 7 drops of the premium bond but are you applying enough pit filler to adequately fill and overlap the break?
