Just curious if anyone has ever tried this brand http://www.sspinc.com/shopssp/product_d ... cfm?id=259? I have been reading the forum and noticed everyone is staying away from rain-x. I am looking at aquapel but it is a little pricey to give away for free. I was looking for something cheap to offer free with a repair. Thanks for th input

Aquapel is a great product, and is a great add on service. There is no reason to give it away. I have been offering Aquapel to my customers since the first of the year and charge $14.95 per application. I have had no complaints from customers so far. The customer will gladly pay for this added service.

Just stay away from Silicone based products! You will find yourself with not so happy customers down the road and a lot of elbow grease trying to remove it and then probably having to buy your customer new windshield wipers. Your "cheap" product will not only cost you time and money, but potentially your repeat customer.
Not to mention... Silicone is not "repair friendly". Resins will not bond.
Get in contact with a PPG warehouse about the Aquapel if you really want to use it. Rather than purchasing the single applicators, purchase the Professional Kit at wholesale direct from PPG.

Nanotec does not contain any silicone lasts 30,000 miles on a windshield & 5 years on outside mirrors and non-forward facing glass. I've been using it for about 1.5 years with great results. http://www.nanotec.com.au/Nanoprotectcar.htm sorry about the other link, this one goes directly to the auto glass product.

How do you offer windshield treatments? Do you just sell the product to your customer or do you apply it to their automobile? If you do apply it, do you mind me asking how much you charge for such service?

Nanoprotect AG is only available in 100ml kit which treats roughly 10 windshields. I usually get about 12 treatments per kit. Yes I install it. Because of the longevity of the product we get between $30 & up depending on glass size.
