FW2087 2000 Lexus Looking for another way to remove side mouldings. i use a hook tool and push in the sloted holes in the retainer mouldings and pull the moulding up by hand there has to be abetter way

I use a regular molding release tool. Like the one you use for a DW1099. Except I use the flat pointed end to push in the tabs in the slotted holes. It's easier because it's a flat tool as compared to the hook tool.
