Hello.I too am jumping into the wsr business part time.I have seen the videos from 3 of the top wsr kits. They are Delta,Glass Mech,Liquid Resin.Do any of you use Liquid Resin? Why do so many of you techs use Delta over the others?Your input on this topic will be used to help me decide on the right kit to do the job right the first time. Thank you .

If you are coming into this business part time. Please do not be tempted to sell at a lower price than the full time proffesionals doing the job, this ofen happens I would imagine because part timers already have the security of a wage and the benefits that go with it, but normaly lack the sales ability or confidence to go full time and are quite easily beaten down in price by the customer because of these facts.

When I first started in screen repair Novus was charging $45.00 per repair over there how much has the price gone up. We have devalued our skills over the years mainly due to increased competition I know but also the input of people who can afford through one reason or another to work for a lesser income.

I am sure I will upset someone with this post I usualy do but it is something I feel very strongly about.

Thanks Screenman for the advice.I do believe that we should not sell ourselves short.Even going part-time has its quirks..With aspirations of going full time -we part timers have to earn our way up the ranks to go full time. Thanks

Welcome James, Lots of techs on the forum from Texas, Maybe you could hook up before you decide, get some feel for the different equipment and hands on training(very important) at the same time. :D

The reason you hear a lot about the delta gear is because of the design...
If you purchase Delta you will undoubtedly be pleased. Good luck with your adventure. Scott

I agree, do not underprice your work. No matter what you charge, there will be someone who will try to get you to work for less. Quite often, they will say something like " So-and-so only charges $..." . My usual response to that is " I cant help it if he doesnt know what his work is worth". Just be sure you are ready to start charging for repairs. The key is to practice, practice, practice, and keep coming to the forums looking for information and answers to your questions.
