I can answer that - I did a set yesterday with Infinity which highlighted a problem, easily solved - but worth a mention.

I went to re-do the headlights mentioned above (I'm testing different methods) and I only resurfaced the face, not the top edge (it was clear still and under the bonnet when closed).

When taking the Infinity off (which was VERY hard to remove) I notice where I had lapped it over the top edge, it simply peeled off when I sanded off the front.

From this I conclude that the Infinity requires a "keyed" surface to bond to.

Awesome, thanks. so that area was clean? But not sanded, even with the 3000 pad? It's simple enough to prep with the 2000-3000 grit.

Another question. Anyone using this in colder conditions? This week the best I'm going to get is upper 30's. Obviously that's not ideal... +50 would be nice, and is probably recommended.

But I think that may be ok, if it's not windy. My plan would be to at least warm the lens a bit prior to applying, and using a hair dryer to speed the dry time and keep it a little heat on it too.

The coldest I've used it is 50-55 degrees. It went on real nice and was dry to the touch in 10 minutes with no additional heat source. Don't know if that helps much.

It was cleaned with the prep, but not sanded. Being a test lens, I was concentrating on getting the front clear - this was just found out by accident.

If I do "paid for" HLR - I'd be sure to key the top, even if it is like new still.

Got four sets to do today, I'm testing a new Griots machine over my Metabo.

I just finished looking at the infinity 4.1 bottle. I thought there was no mixing involved yet i see 3 bottles plus a stick or measuring device ?

Three bottles - two are the same, one is a hardender (less quantity needed).

The other thing is a measuring tube thingy

You have to mix two liquids, depending on how much you require, but simply using a 4:1 ratio (Hence the name - Infinity 4.1)

Didn't think to ask Delta this... what's the working time for 4.1 for once mixed? Minutes, hours, days?

After mixing the coating it will have a pot life of approximately 1 hour.
