My best glass cleaners...whats yours?

Sprayway is the best. I get mine at Costco. Also sell it at the site for $4.00. I sell quite a few cans. The best streak-free stuff I have found - and takes dried-on bugs off in a snap.

I agree, Sprayway is the best. I pick mine up from Costco or Sams Club. I think 4 cans of it are $12. Just a suggestion if you are going to pick it up from one of these clubs....Sprayway sells glass cleaner & stainless steel cleaner. The cans are pretty much identical so just make sure you get the glass cleaner and not the stainless steel cleaner :eusa_wall

Window replacement shops should not use an ammonia based cleaner due to the fact that it can cause adhesion problems with the primers and adhesives used to bond the glass in place, but ammonia is a very good cleaner and I have yet to find a non-ammonia based glass cleaner that works as well as the CLEAR that we use.

I am not impressed with Sprayway. While I agree it removes bugs reasonably well, getting a streak free shine is much more difficult, especially when removing smoke residue from the inside of the glass, or cleaning oil and road grime from the outside of the glass. However, if you really like a foaming cleaner, I think Sprayway is comparable to the other leading brands, and will private label if you buy enough of it.

In addition to cleaning better, I liked the fact that CLEAR is not available in stores retail stores. It also comes in gallon sized containers so you can put it into your own private labeled containers, after getting approval from Mt. Hood Chemical of course. We had customers that would come back year after year just to get another bottle of glass cleaner. In fact, several people in the janitorial industry bought glass cleaner from us because they said they couldn't find anything else that works as well.

No I don't sell CLEAR any longer, and I get nothing for promoting it, I just think it is the best, bar none. By the way, Mt. Hood also sells other glass cleaners for less money, including a concentrate that you mix yourself, but they don't work nearly as well.

So for those interested in the "Clear" product, I spoke to the local rep today and was happy when he informed me that he would be in the area on tuesday for a meeting, I asked if he could bring some samples and he said "sure", 3 hours later he called again, he happened to be in the neighborhood and said if I had a few minutes he'd drop by. So far I am very impressed with the products and cost. I'll follw up in a bit to give my opinion on the products I will be testing. They have a wide range of offerings so....

Keep us posted maxryde, I actually called today myself and the lady I spoke to was not the most friendly LOL well answering she was and ending the call she was but the middle just OK. I asked her about letting me label some bottles with my name and that didn't go over to well,, she said WE DON't DO that, I explained to her that I would be producing the labels and bottles she still seemed confused and said ( Well maybe some Large companies we would do it for) I then asked the price and it seemed pretty good so I will still probably buy some.
