Ditto from paintless...Outstanding post GlasWeldTech. Very well written description on flexing, cycling, and taking your time. I might add that I use a magnifing glass to try to verify resin flow. I've got a pair of 48 year old eyes To the dentdude get a practice glass and flex as glasweld suggests- you will be looking for something very specific in the leg of the crack as it flexes- its very minute almost like finding the tip of your tool in PDR- once you have it you'll know where to flex and how much pressure to apply. I dont know about the other stuff but I find if the star doesnt completly fill its usualy to much pressure trying to hurry the repair or sometimes if the sun gets to the repair before its completly filled the stuff cures and stops running into the legs. I find slow and steady pressure works best for me. Also I use a big ole rag as a UV shield but when doing a star that is gonna be a pain I break out the UV screen and use it. and yes flex the stubborn legs
Thanks everyone for some of your tips. One thing I know is that I need to SLOW down. been doing PDR for over 6 years and I guess I expect to be as fast with WS repair as with PDR. Did a combo yesterday on a wholesale lot and came out great using the techniques of GlasWeldTech. I am just going to continue practicing.
