Cleaned before I leave every customers, as for wasting resin, well the cost is so small per job I would say it is hardly measurable. More is lost in costs by running a vehicle that will not do 50mpg, which nowadays makes a lot of sense.

Anyway, the use of denatured alcohol for cleaning windshield repair injectors: It has a higher flashpoint (faster dry time), it won't cause the injector end seal to warp or swell, and it thoroughly removes uncured resin from the injector plunger and cylinder.

So you leave the end seal in place when cleaning the injector? I figured i would remove it just in case the alcohol impacted the seal

Delta Kits injector users can use alcohol to clean their injectors with the seal in place. Our end seals are made out of a special compound that is extremely chemical resistant so alcohol will not harm them.

Users of other types of injectors may be required to remove the seals before cleaning. We have done extensive testing and in many cases the resin will make an end seal swell and soften and alcohol will make it shrink and harden. In some cases it is just the opposite so always follow the mfg recommendations.
