It depends what sort of stand you have your windshield on, as most of you know I have a practise glass set up at all times, making and repairing long cracks is a lot harder to control on this than it is when on the vehicle.

When I inject the resin on the first "attempt", I will always drop the plunger in and then release it almost immediately. This seems to help in not allowing the resin to be forced in all at once. Once I've done that, then I proceed as normal. It is always helpful to know if the customer knows when the damage occurred. The more recent the damage the more care you should take. Also, have an extra light available and ready. If the damage begins to spread, you can sometimes stop it from getting worse by aborting the repair and curing immediately. Yes...cracking a window sucks. But it is the nature of the business. As long as you communicate clearly with your customer, you should not have any issues. Remember to classify it as an "attempt" to repair the damage. You will find most customers are willing to try it before going to a glass shop and having it replaced. And time and patience are a must. Do not rush thru the repair.
