As far as the d%&$ A·" comment about the Car Wash or Mall guys get a grip there are a lot of guys out there earning good livings doing quality repairs out of Carwashes Of course some are shifty as are some people in any industry :? I dont earn my living in a Carwash or Mall that doesnt somehow make me better than those that do everyone has thier own source of customers get over it
GlassStarz,

After reviewing your 1648 post...I've come to the conclusion that your pretty shifty yourself! Did you not work on the east coast for years doing car wash repairs when you stated your preferred method for curing "was using that big yellow thing in the sky...even when the sun didn't shine?" Please... tell us more.

SeeClearly, I wasn't offended personally by your post, it's just that there are "substandard performers" in any service category you can name. Of those, IMHO, only a very small percent actually exist as thieves, conmen, and ripoff artists. The rest merely suffer from a lack of proper training and customer service skills.

I do firmly believe that it is not yours or my problem or responsibility to "police" the substandard operators. If anyone could or was ever going to, it would be the networks themselves. So, why isn't more being done? Perhaps there is but they are just not telling us about it. Beware! all you crooks! they're comin' to get ya!

If they aren't doing anything about this problem, we can then speculate about their possible motives, Hum-----------

Chiparoo:

You are correct in what you say, the best we can do is educate educate educate the consumers in any way we can. I find your other comment to GlassStarz interesting. Nice research  .

Again, views post here are simply opinions and are not meant to offend others. I simply speak about our experiences. I guess it goes back to the old saying, if the shoe fits, wear it.

Have a great day guys! :D

Anyone who knows me or has followed my threads knows that 10 yrs ago when i first started in the Buisness I worked a weekends at a friends carwash. I did this for several months until I built up my buisness although I did this for only a few months it gives me a view of the Potential of places like carwashes for a good buisness. It wasnt for me but I certainly dont look down on someone who earns a living there. And that retired guys who sits at the Pop Up at the Mall? hey my hats off with respect
As far as the Shifty comment are you so out of the loop about our buisness that you dont know the Sun is full of UV? might want to do some more research on the buisness you claim to work in and yes if you dont have a steady sun you have to break out the light But I stand on my statement my preffered source is the Sun get over it. If the sun isnt out I generally dont work so the light gets out about once a month. I have been doing this ten years and result is10s of thousands of repairs I venture to say I have forgotten more about this buisness just today than you will ever know. Your lame comments lend me to wonder if you actually work in this field or maybe just another internet poser? The purpose of this board is for others to share ideas and techniques in doing so better the field not become a I hate this area of the field and the people who dare to make a living there. There are dozens of areas where guys are making a living be it insurance work commercial acounts or Pop ups beside the road just because they work different than you doesnt make them somehow less proffesional and trashing the Carwash folks shows me exactly what you are. Enjoy your life being negative isnt the only way try being up and helping someone today you might like it should you dare try. As my old Uncle used to say Sit Down Shut Up and Listen You Might Learn Something

Could be my age but I quite like the idea of coming over there somewhere nice and sunny setting up my tent and doing quality repairs.

Kicking back, sipping iced tea in the sunshine, making easy money. Sounds not too bad... just don't forget sunscreen, hat, and shades. 8-)

Edit: you will have to change your name to sunscreenman

LOL, he's in England. He doesn't even know what the sun looks like. More likely he needs the tent to keep the rain off him.
