Thanks Brent. It's all good here. I will also try to refrain from promoting my company and stick to defending it.
This is an important group of repairers and someday, our communication and cooperation will help the entire industry. I would think we could share thoughts and keep it civil. We might be from different companies but our common threads are strong; we are repairers, we are American and we are entrepreneurs.
Good wishes to everyone who tries their hardest to do the best repair they can and Merry Christmas to the Delta Kits crew! - David Casey

Guys sorry to open this can of worms..lol. I have talked Dave a few times and have nothing but good things to say. This is a difficult business to figure out and I simple wanted to get anyone's and everyones opinion. I don't believe I'm wrong for that. So far I find superglass to be a company that does ALOT to help its new franchises hit the ground running! If we all had that support that might eliminate 50% of the topics on this forum. I have no made any decisions but I appreciate everyone input and I'd like to request the topic not be removed unless Dave feels it should.
thanks

Sorry to offend Superglass, it was not my intention. I will stand on my comment that Brennan should avoid a franchise commitment in his area though. If I get banned for this statement...so be it.
Would you really want to do that though? for expressing an opinion?

Well I have a good friend here in South Ga who has a Superglass franchise has for many years now. He is very successful with it and i think partially due to the fact that SG has alot of the car rentals on national contract. But SG does have good business support and marketing. However that being said Get a Delta kit and learn some marketing skills..you will do fine ;)

Thank you all for your input on the topic. I dont think anyone should be banned for stating their opinion! Especially when the topic has to do with a new guy to the buisess trying to figure out whats what. Banning someone for that would be against everything this forum is supposed to be about.

No one said anything about banning anyone! Good grief guys, don't be so paranoid!!! Contrary to the rumors that a few forum members like to spread, we don't ban people simply for expressing their opinions and only about a dozen people have been banned over the past 10 years or so. No comments have been made in this topic that would even come close to getting someone banned.

Dave has the option of having the topic removed, not because I feel anyone has bashed his company, but out of respect for his wishes, just as we have done for several other equipment suppliers and franchisors. That is not the same as banning someone. Frankly I don't consider SuperGlass a competitor and I don't want to put words in his mouth but I doubt he considers Delta Kits a competitor. We serve a very different client base and if I feel someone is better suited for a franchise I send them Dave's way.

Life is so much simpler when you treat people...all people...with courtesy and respect.

Thank you Brent, I appreciate your comments. I agree with you that, even though we are still in the same business, we serve the industry in different ways.
A lot of what we try to accomplish for ourselves is what you and the Forum members try to accomplish with the Forum. Sharing information, both technical and marketing, with over 200 talented people has got to be a benefit over the knowledge and experience of only one person.
When I started repairing it was very rare to meet or talk to another repairer. There weren't that many. So, I greatly appreciate what happens when people get to share via this Forum and other methods.
I'm too old now to enjoy any of the cool things you might buy from getting rich at windshield repair. My goals now are to help build the industry and help keep it clean, to leave a strong business with systems in place and a bright future and to make a difference in the windshield repair business. It should be a lot easier for a great repairer to get their fair share of the work and it isn't that way now. There isn't enough reward equal to the quality of repair and service, I would like to be a part of changing that before I croak.
I do love this business and most all of the people I have met and worked with over the past 31 years. I consider any repairer a cousin at least and will always try to help as long as I don't hurt a SuperGlass person by doing it.
Keep up the participation, keep up the debates, keep up the faith! Windshield will have its day soon! - David Casey
PS- Thanks Brent for giving so many people a place to go for education, enjoyment and faith!
