windshieldreferral.com

Post by Rundad »

Hello out there! I have a couple of questions about getting started. In reviewing the checklist here on Delta kits, I saw that "getting signed up for windshieldrefferal.com was one of the things they suggest. first of all, has anyone gotten any business of this site? Secondly, in watching the video, I noticed that they have a box that asks if you have taken and passed the Delta kits written and practical test. I am assuming that that would require a trip to the training in Oregon. Is this correct? Thank you for the help!

At this time the only way we offer the certification test is if you travel to Eugene for the training, however, neither the training or certification are required to signup on windshieldreferral.com, nor are you required to be a Delta Kits customer. It's free, signup is easy, and it is open to anyone in the industry.

I cannot attest to how much business others receive from being listed on windshieldreferral.com, however I can tell you that when someone contacts my staff and asks if we know of anyone in their area that repairs windshields, we always refer them to that website.

Here is my take on any FREE advertising... If it's free take it. The way search engines optimize searches your name or business will pop up. Any free listing I can get I take. My website is free thru Wix and I have received numerous calls from it as well as google. If you have not had training in Eugene... GO. Brent and his crew are awesome. I was certified back in 2008.

Sorry to hear you didn't get any referrals but not sure why the "CON JOB" comment. The referral site is a place where some consumers go to find a company in their area, so being on the site increases your visibility and recognition as a specialist. It's free, it increases your online presence, and consumers do visit the site, but we have no way know who they contact or why.

I'm not sure how reducing your online presence is helpful to your business but your listing has been removed as per your request, and we received your acknowledgement of such.

We wish you good health, good fortune, and the best of luck!

Are you saying you did not get a reply confirming your signup, or just that you did not receive any referrals? We cannot control the referrals or guarantee results as we do not charge a fee for the service, but if you are saying you did not receive a confirmation from us, the fact that you asked to have your company removed suggests you did. Your listing could not have been approved if you did not receive a confirmation email.

Customers rarely contact us, they contact the listing companies directly. We are only contacted when someone wants to know who we recommend, in which cases we simply refer them back to the listing for their area.

It is simply not possible to lose any business by being listed on windshieldreferral.com. I think you are confusing this free service with paid listings on other sites, where the company that pays the most gets the most referrals.

You got us! Obviously by offering this forum and windshieldreferral.com for free to everyone, not just Delta Kits customers, we are involved in some kind of sinister conspiracy. ;)

I agree that every company should have a system to keep track of where there business is coming from and put your money into the advertising that is working best for them, that is great advice.

I also agree with Chipsbgone that you should take advantage of any free advertising opportunities available to you and Delta Kits offers a number of free services in hopes that it will benefit everyone in the windshield repair industry, but it is up to the individual as to whether or not to participate.

I do believe that it is a win win situation. Doesn't take a Rocket scientist to see that free means FREE. I have seen where the windshield referral has shown up when I have googled my own business to see how I am coming up online. Do not know if it has brought me any work, but I do see that it can. It is out there and my business is listed in it. Thank you Delta!
