Windshild repair
? Is it better to drill or scrap the impacted area of a bulls eye? I'm trying to keep damaged area clear as possible..

Re: Windshild repair
Generally speaking I prefer to use a steel pointed scribe to gently remove any loose glass and contaminates. Nothing wrong with using a drill but I don't typically find the need and using the scribe only takes a few seconds.

Scribe is best and quickest or very lightly using drill with bit turned on edge. No need to remove much glass, Just a quick clean up. Use caution, even with a scribe, that you don't let it jump out of the impact area and scratch the surrounding glass.

Cool, thanks for the tip. I had a customer tell me my job was incomplete because I scribed the damaged area..
